Obituary for Jim L. Grizzle

Jim L.  Grizzle
Jim L. Grizzle, 71, of Fort Smith, AR passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 in a local hospital. He was the owner and operator of Jim Grizzle Tire for over 50 years. He was a member of the 1961-1963 Razorback Football Team, a member of the Arkansas Letterman’s Club and an avid Razorback fan. He was a former member of the Fort Smith Rotary Club and a sponsor of the Fort Smith Boys and Girls Club.
He is survived by his wife, Pat of the home; one daughter, Laura Webb and her husband Ray of Fort Smith; one son, Brian Grizzle and his wife Jennifer of Van Buren; one sister, Betty Brodie of Bentonville, AR; two brothers, Perry Grizzle of Nevada, MO and Parks Grizzle of Mountainburg; three grandchildren, Andrea Redford of Fort Smith, Ashley and Micah Grizzle both of Van Buren; one great-grandchild Wyatt Redford of Fort Smith and one nephew, Herby Grizzle, Jr. of Fort Smith.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Community Bible Church in Fort Smith with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Gilliaum, Herby Grizzle, Jr., Bruce Long, Rob Peterson, Scott Standridge, Rick Aubrey, Mike Johnson and Kevin Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Bennie Westphal, Phillip Plunkett, Wally Hayes and Shannon Cole and Johnnie Smith, Jr.
The Family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home 4500 Jenny Lind Road Fort Smith, AR.
