Obituary for Jerry Canada

Jerry  Canada
Jerry Wayne Canada, 35 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 in a local hospital. He was a leader singer for the bands Gamis and Beyond What’s Given. He was a longtime resident of this area.

Graveside service will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Gill Cemetery Arbor in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by three daughters; two sons, Logan Canada of Van Buren, Kaleb Rousseau of Fort Smith; his mother, Belinda Myers of Van Buren; his father, Rodney Canada of Westville, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mandy Kimani of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, LaSondra Gaines of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Desiree Harrison of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers, Dustin Clower of Woodward, Oklahoma, Dennis Lampier of Memphis, Tennessee; maternal grandmother, Bertha Adams of Van Buren; paternal grandmother, Wanda Canada of Westville, Oklahoma; paternal great grandmother, Pauline Canada of Westville, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Gaines, Brad Canada, John D. Adams, William Gray, Brock Reather, Bryan Brisco, Gabe Cunningham and Brandon Watkins.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
