Jerry was my Dad's best friend as I grew up. There was hardly a day that went by when he was not at our house. I remember Dad and Jerry used to go to 76 Truck Stop for pie and coffee all the time. He would call my Dad "boss" and he would forever say "ah sure" (pronounced ahhhh shore) rather than a simple yes. He was a kind man, a welcome presence wherever he went, and a gentle giant of a man. He will be missed.
