Roy O. Martin, 90 of Van Buren passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 in his home. He was a resident of Crawford County for the past 39 years; He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with his wife Gertrude. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren since 1981 and was a Superintendant of Furniture for Garrison Furniture Company in Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by both his parents; his sisters Colleen Grober and LaGusta Wilson and brothers Robert Martin and Jack Martin.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday October 16, 2013 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years Gertrude Martin of the home; one daughter Nedra Kay Melton-Moore of Franklin, Indiana; five grand children; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Family will visit with relatives and friends Tuesday October 15, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
Pallbearers are David Melton, Kenny Melton, Andrew Melton, Carver Melton, Trevin Melton, Samuel McNerney.
Honorary Pallbearers will be William Worthington, Tom McNerney, Jerry Martin, Marshall Martin, Dewey Rogers, Parks Martin, Bill Grober, Danny Mullins, John Moore.
