Dolores "Doe" Rae Ward, 73, of Van Buren, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 in a local hospital. She was retired from the Fort Smith Social Security Office, a member of the Heritage United Methodist Church, and a resident of Van Buren since 1962. She is the widow of Dr. Charles Ward and preceded in death by her parents, Sevier and Bertha Stuart.
She is survived by her special friend and companion, James Minor, one sister, Jane Meyer of Orange, CA, one brother Steve Stuart and wife Beth of Columbus, MA, a brother-in-law, Wilburn Cox, four nephews and six great nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ed Witt, Bill Thomas, Johnny Parker, Bobby Miller, R.W. Ocker, Scott Neal, James McGhee, Benton Cone, Nathan Teague and Earl Robinson.
