Fred Jean Ulrich, 84 of Van Buren, died Sunday, July 31, 2011 in a local nursing home. He was a retired Maintenance Mechanic for 40 years for Armor CSL Behring Pharmaceutical Company. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church, an Army Veteran of WWII, Life Member of the D.A.V., former owner of Interstate Auto in Bourbonnais, IL, formerly of Kankakee, IL, a member of the Kankakee Civil Defense and the Kankakee Coroner’s Jury.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ulrich of the home; two daughters, Susette Cole of Kankakee, IL and Jeanette Mac Peek of Alma; one son, Joe Ulrich of Bourbonnais, IL; and two sisters, Murlene Triplett of Oak Ridge, TN and Maxine Phillips of Kibler.
