Life Story for Candice Annette Oden

Candice Annette Oden
On Saturday, October 24, 2009, our beloved Candy left us to be with her daughter, Kaylen Elaine and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Candy was born in Van Buren, Arkansas on February 12, 1968. She attended Van Buren High School where she was a member of the school choir. She is a member of the New Heights Baptist Church in Alma and was employed in the food service department at Mountainburg Public Schools where she loved to cook for all the children. Because she was such a special person it is difficult to describe Candy with words. She loved her family, her dog Peaches, crocheting, compiling pictures of her family, working in the yard, camping, church and her Moutainburg Dragons. She was wonderfully outspoken, as well as loving, generous, dedicated, loyal, beautiful and loved. We will miss her forever.
Candy was preceded in death to heaven by her daughter, Kaylen. She is survived by her son, Daniel Oden and his fiancé Tasha Payne of Van Buren, her mother and father, Eddie & Darlene Oden of Kibler; her sisters and brothers-in-law, April & Shane Evans, Amy & Tim Allen both of Rudy; brother & sister-in-law, Billy & Martha Jones of Mulberry; grandmother, Virginia Turner-Owens and the late Billy Turner of Van Buren, grandparents, Jim & Shirley Oden of Dyer and special friend, Larry Green. She has four nieces, three nephews, three great nieces and one great nephew, a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, AR.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Allen, Taylor Evans, Dakota Jones, Chris Everley, Joseph Rupp and Jonathon Tatum.
