Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Shores, 62, of Alma, AR passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 in a local hospital. He was a retired employee of Baldor Electric where he worked for 44 years, a 1973 graduate of Northside High School and was of the Baptist Faith. He was born December 29, 1953 to the late Paul Gerald and Joy Lea (Wilson) Shores.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2016 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Pope Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Shores of the home; one daughter, Shannon Davis and husband Jimmy of Alma; two sons, Britt Shores and wife Chandra and Matthew Shores and wife Tammy all of Alma; two sisters, Cheryl Dixon and husband Boyd of Harrison and Tammy Valentine and husband Carl of Alma; two brothers, Donald Shores and wife Tina of Mountainburg and Dennis Shores and wife Cathy of Alma; 5 grandchildren, Jenesis Davis, Austin and Hannah Shores, Jakob and Elizabeth Shores and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Young, Zack Valentine, Tyler Young, Daniel Ross, Jeremy Shores, Jordan Shores, Boyd Dixon and Carl Valentine.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Beller, Monte Brunk, Scott Peters, Ronnie Beller, Dave Shores and Mike Barrett.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening, December 1, 2016 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
