Karen Irene Metz, 75 of Van Buren passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in a local hospital. She was a circulation manager for 23 years for Donrey Media in California. She was a member of North Park Baptist Church in Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy H. and Rebecca Marie (Grishol) Mead; two sons Eddie Ray Truex and Roy H. Purrington.

Graveside services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She is survived by her husband Eddy of the home; three daughters Shirley Irene Truex, Rebecca Marie Purrington and Robyn Michelle Burns all of Van Buren; one son Wesley Rowdy Truex of Van Buren; one sister Marcia Lynn Schmidt of Van Buren; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Family will visit with relatives and friends on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
