Condolences

Condolence From: Billy Gibson
Condolence: To the Caperton Family I would like to extend my sincere condolences in the passing of a great man, Mr Bob Caperton. What a class act. Mr. and Mrs. Caperton were always so nice and cordial to myself and to my brother Ben and my sister Mitzi. We all went to school together with the girls and Mr. Caperton even coached Mitzi in softball. I think I have that all correct. I know that Lisa and I graduated together. I just want to tell all of you that I had so much respect for Mr. Caperton that I always felt awkward calling him Bob or B.J. so to his last days it was Mr. Caperton. I feel the same way about Mrs. Caperton and will address her that way when I see her at church. What a grand couple. I would see them almost every Sunday morning going in to church and am going to miss that interaction. After all these years Mr. Caperton would always ask about Benny and Mitzi when we had an opportunity to talk for a few minutes. He always remembered them. My family is going to miss him as I know you all have a great void to fill. I am honored to have known him. Billy Gibson

Condolence From: Bryan Rogers
Condolence: We were very sad to learn of B.J.'s passing.

Tammy and I are so thankful that he was a role model, mentor, and absolute gentleman example to our sons and that he took a genuine interest in their lives.

Although they were 64 years apart in age, Ben would often refer to B.J. as his "friend".

While we will certainly miss seeing B.J. and conversing with him, we rejoice that we will one day see him again in heaven.

Condolence From: Bob Stinchcomb
Condolence: I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of BJ's passing. He was truly one of the good guys. I got to know BJ through the Cavanaugh bass club about 17 years ago. He was always one i wanted to draw as a fishing partner because he was such a joy to be around and always had food with him! My oldest son Ryan also fished with him several times over the years and always had nothing but good things to say about BJ, but also that he always had food! We are better people because of knowing him and we will miss him dearly. My prayers are with his wife and family for comfort and strength, but just remember he is in a better place and we will meet again.

Condolence From: Renee Weaver (Salter)
Condolence: Rohena, Gina, Lisa and Family:

Mom told me this morning that Bob had passed away. So sorry to hear. We lost Dad (Ted) 4 years ago on June 25, 2011. I remember great stories and outings with the Caperton's. Bob used to pierce our ears (did mine in his kitchen) when they lived behind Cora's. We had youth hay rides at their property in Greenwood. Such great memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. We now live in Lenexa, KS (outside of KC metro) and have Mom living with us. Tell Rohena that Mom's thoughts are with her at this time. It is hard when they have been married so long and lose their partner. Mom and Dad had been married for 56 years.

God Bless!

Renee and Jeff Weaver
