Aline Smith, 85, of Arkoma, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker, an avid quilter and loved to crochet. She gardened, canning her bounty from the garden. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Arkoma, Oklahoma and was preceded in death by her brothers, Newton, Ira and Ralph Horne, a sister, Phyllis Hunter and by her son in law Dudley Martin.

Funeral services are 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Arkoma with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith, Arkansas with the Reverends Rick Kester and Steve Stewart officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

She is survived by her loving husband Donnie of the home; two sons, Vernon Smith and his wife Susan of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and Tommy Smith and his wife Dottie of Arkoma, Oklahoma; two daughters, Margrete Martin of Wister, Oklahoma and Kathleen Ridenour and her husband Clayton of Spiro, Oklahoma, one sister, Margrete Horne of Port Arthur, Texas, 11 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM Monday, October 22, 2012 at the funeral home.
