I worked with John on the railroad when it was SL-SF in the car shop. He was a good teacher of railcar repair. I think of the many stories he would tell about railway operations in the industry. Many stories involved his father who worked in the industry. He was our union representative for a number of years. May God be with the family during this time of great loss
