Proudly Serving the Families of Fort Smith, Crawford County, and Sebastian County
Aunt Mildred was an amazing woman. I remember walking home from the bus stop and seeing her out in the pasture driving the tractor, When I was a little girl, she was the only woman that I knew who could drive a tractor. Grampa and Grandma didn't either one drive. She would take them to town every week. Later on when Granpa passed away, Grandma moved in with Mildred and J.D., they took care of her and then when Dewayne became ill, they took care of him also. When my Dad was dying of cancer, J.D., Mildred and Delaine would visit him often. Delaine would go by and pick up milkshakes fpr Daddy. Mildred would call me and tell me that Daddy didn't mean what he was saying about me. I can't express how much this meant to me. It was a horrible time and she made it better. I'll never forget that. I also loved her sense of humor. I remember her telling me and my cousin about how to catch boys. She told us to flutter our eyelashes and smile. It makes me smile every time that I think of it. I love her and I'm going to miss her. Delaine we love you. You're in our thoughts and prayers. Love Joyce
