Jean Williams, 79, of Arkoma, OK passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born on May 4, 1937 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Northeastern University and for many years she lived in Sallisaw where she was the owner of Little Extras Flowers and Gifts and was a member of the Sallisaw Women’s Garden Club. She was a faithful and active member of Jehovah’s Witness in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Jean enjoyed fishing trips with her husband and family, making flower arrangements and spending time with friends.
Graveside services are 12:00PM, Friday, March 24, 2017 at the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas. The family will visit from 5-7PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth of the home; two daughters, Connie Nix and her husband Pat and Cathy Dupont and her husband Terry both of Durant, OK; two sons, Gary Williams and his wife Jennifer of Arkoma, OK and Kenneth Williams, Jr. and his wife Mary of Roland, OK; three sisters, Pearline Howington of Arkoma, OK, Maxine Sorrells of Rock Springs, TX and Patsy Atkins of Hackett, AR; 9 grandchildren, Pat and John Nix, Stephanie Swicker, Jeremy, Daniel and David Williams, Christina Bell, Sarah Wasson and Chelsey Sharp; 13 Great Grandchildren and other family and close friends.
