Charles Gary Morton, 79 of Van Buren passed Friday, July 15, 2016 in a local hospital.
He was a retired long term nurse for Covington Court in Fort Smith. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a mason and member of the Uniontown Masonic Lodge #395. He enjoyed gardening and building houses. He was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Morton; his parents, Lester and Rena (Comstock) Morton and several sisters and brothers.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Hall Cemetery Arbor in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.

He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Snell of Van Buren, Rhonda Morton of Rudy; one son, Andy Morton of Lavaca; two sisters, Elsie Workman of Cedarville, Marie Lockhart of Rockford, Illinois; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Snell, Bill Vickery, Odell Brooks, Joshua Ramsey, Donnie Lockhart and Walt Major.
