Billy Gene Edwards, 81 of Cedarville passed away Monday, June 6, 2016. He was born January 22, 1935 to Charlie and Elsie Edwards of Lincoln, Arkansas who have preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son, Randy L. Edwards and his grandson, Billy L.D. Edwards; his brother, J.D. Edwards; his sister, Neva Fears of Alma.
He worked for Wards Furniture until it closed. He retired from the Crawford County Road Department. He loved raising cattle, buying, selling and trading. Hunting with family and just being outside. Most important was spending time with family, kids, grandkids and great- grandkids being a part of their lives. He will be missed more than he will even know.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 10, 2016 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Dripping Springs Cemetery north of Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; his son, Terry W. Edwards and wife, Glenda of Cedarville; his daughter, Dana J. Hope and husband, Bobby of Booneville; four grandchildren, Chuck Crowley, Jacob Edwards, Rebecca Snyder all of Cedarville, Christie Dalton of Greenwood; eight great grandchildren; his brothers, Charlie “Jr.” Edwards and wife, Carol, Cliff Edwards and wife, Jean of Cane Hill; sisters, Shirley LaRue and husband, Ray of Figure Five, Marie Gooch of Van Buren and many nieces and nephews.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Jim Brown, Tim Brown, Jeff Edwards, Roger Edwards, Greg Snyder and Gaylon Wiseman.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Will James “Dill” Lamproe, Chuck Crowley, Keaton Crowley, Jacob Edwards, Tyler Hopewell, Dakota Hopewell, Landon Hopewell and John Bilyeu
