Obituary for James W. Tankersley

James  W.  Tankersley
James W. Tankersley, 79, of Cedarville, went to be with the lord Tuesday, October 6, 2015. He was a retired salesman for Rainbo Bread Company in Fort Smith; a former member of the Arkansas Air National National Guard. He was a member of Cedarville Assembly of God Church. He is preceded in death by his first wife Melba Tankersley and his parents Robert and Lydia (Clark) Tankersley, one sister Mary McDowell and two brothers Bobby and Kenneth Tankersley.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife Sue Tankersley of the home; one daughter Pam Duke and her husband Clint of Van Buren; two sons Danny Tankersley and his wife Melissa and Steve Tankersley and his wife Teresa both of Van Buren; two sisters Evelyn Stevenson of Rathdrum, ID and Judy McKinney of Hackett; one brother Clifton Tankersley of Fort Smith; two step daughters Angela Stout and her husband Marvin of Cedarville and Michele Belk and her husband James of Natural Dam; one stepson Kevin McAllister of Alma; a nephew Clinton Slate and his wife Rhonda of Lowell, AR; sixteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, October 9, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren

Pallbearers will be Michael Pitt, Dee Brian Tankersley, Phillip Hooten, Caleb Slate, Lenard Slate, and Cody Mullen.
