Working on the weekends.

Shortly after I met brother Bobby, he had invited my brother and myself to come out on Saturdays to do a little work at his home, either helping to feed the cattle, garden, both, or side projects that needed to be finished. It was great going out to work with him, feeding cows, sharing stories about how the weeks was going, learning lessons in the Bible, sharing a few jokes and hanging out with the family. Brother Bobby was nice enough after each day we finished up work for the day, he would invite me in to a nice dinner with his family, who were just as nice as he was. One thing I can say is that he had an influence on me and I consider it a blessing to have known him. He was like a grandfather to me; a very wise man of God who was humble and I hope to be at least half as good a man as he was in this life. I know that he is resting high on that mountain in heaven, and I know that this is not goodbye, it is just bye for now, because one day, when it is my time, I cannot wait to see his smiling face looking at me from the other side of the pearly gates.
