Jerry Wayne Spearman, 68 of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 in his home. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, but for the last 13 years he was a Deputy Sheriff and retired from the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office. He was born in Fort Smith September 12, 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl William Spearman and Mabel Elmore Spearman.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Morrison Cemetery Arbor near Rudy, Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.

Survivors are his wife Joyce Spearman of the home; a daughter Shannon Hampton and husband Phil of Van Buren, two sons, Sean Spearman and wife Sara of Van Buren, Jason Hunter and wife Izetta of Fort Smith; one sister Earldean Person of Fort Smith; one brother Doug Spearman of Fort Smith; 7 Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Rogers, Hobie Runion, George Lawson, Barney Parsons, Nathan Roop, Mike Hardy and Jim Markward.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.
