Obituary for Robert C Lobdill

Robert C  Lobdill
Robert Crowley Lobdill, 90 of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born on October 4, 1924 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He graduated from Van Buren High School and the University of Arkansas with a degree I Business Administration. He entered the U.S. Army Air Force November 15, 1943. He served in England during WWII as an Airplane Sheet Metal Worker and an Airplane Engine Mechanic. He also served as a Special Agent for the U.S. Air Force Office Special Investigation during the Korean War. He worked as District Sales Supervisor, Water Well Division for Reda Pump in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and then Sacramento, California. In 1969 he opened and established California Submergible Pump Company in Sacramento which he owned and operated until he retired in 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents A.O. and Bertha Cowley Lobdill, Sisters Pauline Lobdill Brown and Lorene Lobdill, Brothers Albert Allen Lobdill, Richard Lee Lobdill, Harold (Red) Lobdill and a daughter Courtney Lobdill.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery in Van Buren with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren with Reverend Barry Morton officiating.

He is survived by one daughter Lee Ann Whitford and her husband Bob of El Dorado Hills, CA; two sons Robert Carter Lobdill and his wife Sue Foley and Richard Lobdill and his wife Kathleen Walters both of California; one sister Olive Jean Neal of Van Buren; three grandchildren Whitney Williams, Reade and Adrian Lobdill; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Andy Neal, Kim Bercher, Van Lee, Phillip Morton, Jerry Jones and Bob Vandergriff.
