Steven Paul Matthews, 51 of Van Buren passed away in his home. He was the pastor of Rena Road Baptist Church in Van Buren; a graduate of Sallisaw High School Class of 1981; a longtime resident of Crawford County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Faye (Loftin) Matthews and one brother, Michael Matthews.

Family held memorial will be at 10:00 AM Friday, May 22, 2015 at Rena Road Baptist Church in Van Buren. Arrangement and cremation under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife, Staci (Childers) Matthews of the home; two daughters, Carolina and Ericka Matthews of Van Buren; three sons, Zachary Matthews of Pocola, OK, Michael Matthews of Van Buren and Ryan Matthews of Houston, TX; his father, Kenneth Matthews of Van Buren; one granddaughter, Sofia Matthews of Van Buren.
