Mildred Battles Schroeder, 94, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Concord Baptist Church in Van Buren. She was born May 13, 1920 in Ozark, Arkansas to the late Fay C. and Grace (Minor) Shibley. Also preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Battles, the father of her children and Bill Schroeder; one daughter, Era Kay Battles; two sons, James David and Randall Lance Battles; one grandson, Justin Kyle Battles; one great grandson, Cole Michael Greenfield.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Gill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Oliver and husband Terry of Alma, AR; one son, Bill Battles and wife Carolyn of Alma; one sister, Joyce Core of Paris, AR; one Brother, Fay C. Shibley, Jr. of Abilene, TX; 5 grandchildren, Clif Battles, Lisa McAlister, Jennifer Payne, Carmen Stockton and Lane Oliver; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild
Pallbearers will be Clif Battles, Lane Oliver, Colton Battles, Todd Brown, Zack Oliver, Tyler Oliver, Jake Greenfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Jo Core, Robert Trotter, Paul Cooper, Terry Fimple, Nic Stockton, Tommy Greer and David Leclercq
