Irene visited us one December and helped me decorate our tree. We had a glass of wine and I told her the stories behind each ornament. She asked me to remember her and have a glass of wine when I was decorating the tree each year. Hiram Walker gave their employees beautiful Chrismas ornaments at their Christmas parties. Irene was kind enough to give those to me and I think of her each year when I place them on our tree. We shared many recipes and laughs. She will be forever in my heart.
