Norman Dale “Coach”Coomer, 61, of Kibler, AR, passed away Sunday, January, 25, 2015 in a local hospital. He was a retired teacher and former coach for Van Buren High School. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Van Buren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Finis and Aggie Oliver Coomer; and one grandson, Jeremiah Womack.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Van Buren with Reverend Joe Walden officiating. Burial will be at the Yoestown Cemetery in Yoestown under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.

Survivors are his wife, Deborah Coomer of the home; two daughters Desaray Coomer of the home and Danielle Womack and her husband, Jerry of Fort Smith; one son, Justin Coomer of the home; two sisters, Sandra Smith and husband, Ralph of Alma, and Donna Metheney and husband , Dean of Van Buren; and one brother, William Finis Coomer and wife, Joyce of Alma; one granddaughter, Miah Womack and one grandson, Sam Womack both of Fort Smith; several nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with relatives and friends Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Terry McClure, Carroll McClure, Terry Parks, Ricky Hamilton, David Crabtree and Gary Dickens.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s Sunday School Class.
