Bertha Lou Reid, 86, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on December 2, 2014 in a local nursing home. She was born on October 1, 1929 in Poteau, Oklahoma. She was a dairy farmer for Sullivan Farms in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 5, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will be at 2:00 PM Friday at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She is survived by her three daughters, Wanda Linam-Nolte of Van Buren, AR. Mary Sue Jones of Fort Smith, AR and Debra Brown-Murray of Columbia, TN; one son, Jimmie Evans; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
