Mary Ellen McCallister, 70 of Barling passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker; a member of the Loving Baptist Church in Loving, Oklahoma; She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther McCallister, both parents, Elmer and Ruth (Partain) Cagle, one sister, Mark Brown. A special thank you to the love and care given by the staff at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith.

Memorial service will be at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at First Assembly of God in Spiro, Oklahoma obituary was submitted by Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

She was survived by her daughter, Rhonda Jordan of Spiro, OK; one son, Russell Shipman of Spiro, OK; two sisters, Jan Washispack and husband, Calvin; Ernestine Forister and husband, Lowell; three brothers, Bill Cagle and wife, Sue, Glen Cagle and wife, Charlene, Roger Cagle and wife, Cindy; two nieces, Marilyn Owens and husband, Hugh, Judy Cobbs and husband, Larry and many other nieces and nephews.
