Melba Carol Craig, 76 of Fort Smith passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 in her home. She was a general laborer for a Food Company. She attended Crossview Christian Church in Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband George Craig , her parents Omar Milburn Short and Willie Marie (Jackson) Short and three brothers Ricky, Omer & Sammy Short.
Funeral services are 11 AM Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Goddard United Methodist Church in Fort Smith with burial at Dora Cemetery in Dora, AR under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by two daughters Susan Marie Davis of Muldrow and Kim Webster and her husband Dan of Fort Smith; two sons Scott Craig and his wife Sonyoung of Odenton, Maryland and Randy Hoffman and his wife Sherry of Alma; one sister Barbara Anderson of New Mexico; two brothers Roger and Jimmy Short both of New Mexico; Four Grandchildren Kristina Eckelhoff, Nicole Davis, Jamie Davis, Celeste McClellan; Four Great-Grandchildren Dillon Davis, Adia Craig, Kenley Davis, Kiah Armer.
Family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Bob McClellan, Clyde Storms, Daniel Cabrea, Randall Chitwood, Tom Banks and John Webster.
