Obituary for Brian Lee Prentice

Brian Lee  Prentice
Brian Prentice, 60, of Mountainburg, Arkansas went home to the Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2012 in a local hospital. He was a retired welder for Air Systems in Fort Smith, AR, a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, a lifetime member of Clear Creek Masonic Lodge in Mountainburg and Fine Springs Masonic Lodge of Alma. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW #8855 in Mountainburg and DAV Chapter 42 in Alma and of the Presbyterian Faith. He was born August 20, 1951 in Sioux Falls, SD. Brian was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Alice Starks Prentice, a brother, mark Prentice and a sister Wendy Henderson.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Prentice of the home; a grandson, Dakota Philpott of Highfill; special friends, Jerry and Sabrina Ramsey of Mountainburg, AR; a stepson, Richard Philpott of Bentonville; a step daughter Lisa Jillson of Illinois; one Aunt Alta Koball of Sioux Falls, SD and several cousins.
Memorial graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 23, 2012 at U. S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with military honors. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR. Cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
