Veta Belle Lopez, 69, of Alma, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2024. Veta was a retired Walmart Associate. She loved her animals, going to the beach, and most of all her family. One of her favorite things to do was watching her children and grandchildren play in ballgames. She was born February 13, 1954 in Mulberry, Arkansas to the late Perry and Bethine (Brown) Gregory. Veta was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Bethine Gregory; brother, Raymond Gregory; sisters, Wanda Williams, and Donna Gregory.

Cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Veta is survived by her husband, Rene Lopez of the home; sons, Derrall Rankin and wife Christina of Barling, AR, Clinton Rankin and wife Pam of Charleston, AR; stepdaughter, Jamie Rene Lopez of Barling, AR; grandchildren, EmmaLeigh Madison Lopez, Allie Harrison and husband Allen, Richie Rankin and wife Kendall, Michel Rankin and fiancé Angelica, Caeleigh McDowell and husband Eric, Ashleigh Rankin and fiancé Tyler; and five great-grandchildren.
