Obituary for Syble Curd (Durham)

Syble Curd, 92, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 in her home. She was born on October 21, 1930 in Hackett, Arkansas to James and Cora (Glidewell) Durham. She was a retired teller from City National Bank and previously at Hutchinson Shoes. She was preceded by her parents, her husband, Lee Ben Curd, two grandsons, Jerry Sims and Jacob Stewart and a great great granddaughter, Caitlyn Major.
Funeral services are 10:00AM, Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial to follow in Mt. View Cemetery in Hackett, Arkansas. The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Stewart (Jay) of Bentonville, Arkansas and Vicki Graves (Alvin) of Barling, Arkansas; granddaughter, Rachel Cometsevah of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; a sister, Mary Fuller of Greenwood, Arkansas; a brother, Johnny Durham of Hackett, Arkansas, three great grandchildren, Aaliyah Southerland of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Dakota Cometsevah of Clinton, Oklahoma and Brandon Major of Vian, Oklahoma and two great great grandchildren, Jordan and Cora Cometsevah.
Pallbearers are Rachel Cometsevah, Amos Baldwin, Aaliyah and Sebastian Southerland and Brandon Major.
