Obituary for Ruby L Ming (Robison)

Ruby Lucille Ming (Robison), 90, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Monday, February 20, 2023, with her family by her side. Ruby (known to many as Sister Ming) was born on October 13, 1932, to Clarence and Rhoda (Lape) Robison in West Plains, Missouri, and spent several of her childhood years in California before spending the majority of her life in Northwest Arkansas. She married her husband Willie Hoyt Ming, Sr. on June 30, 1949. Ruby served as a minister's wife for over sixty years, traveling with her husband and family as evangelists of the Gospel, pastoring churches, raising their four children, and working for Hallmark for ten years.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Rhoda Robison; her husband, Willie Hoyt Ming, Sr.; a son, Bobby Gene Ming, Sr.; a daughter, Diana Ruth Berry; and a grandson, Charles Aaron Ming. She is survived by her sister, Ellen Tinsley of Bakersfield, California; daughter, Sharon Ming (Andre) of Poteau, Oklahoma; son, Willie Hoyt Ming, Jr. of West Fork, Arkansas. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Bobby Gene Ming, Jr. and wife Laurie, Jonathan Ming and wife Lena, Amber Ming, Cynthia (Ming) Collins and husband Greg, Tara (Ming) Landers, Lesli (Berry) Washington and husband Edward, nine great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Services will be 1PM, Saturday February 25, 2023 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery in Cedarville, Arkansas.
Family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5-7PM, at Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Ming, Bobby Ming, Jr., Daniel Ming, Greg Collins, Jeremy Collins and Jesse Scott.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ferrell Freeman, Don McNaughton, James Cooley and Michael Burks.
