Roger Glen Butcher, 73, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at his home. Roger was a retired teacher who taught in the Alma School System for 30 years and was a member of Alma First Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon. He was also an avid fisherman and loved spending time outdoors. Roger was born July 18, 1949 in Woodward, Oklahoma to the late Glen Oliver and Ada (Hawkins) Butcher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Henry) Butcher; parents, Glen and Ada Butcher; brother, Verlin Butcher; and sister, Marla Kay Butcher.

The family will visit with friends and family 5:00 till 7:00 PM Monday, February 20, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma with interment to follow at Alma City Cemetery.

Roger is survived by his sons, Roger Dale Butcher and Wife Gayla of Alma, AR, and Justin Butcher of Alma, AR; grandchildren, Roger Ashton Butcher and wife Madison, Carol Butcher and fiancé Jacob Floyd, Rowan Butcher, Savannah Butcher, Sloane Butcher, Nicholas Anderson, Novelie Stricker; great-grandchild, Jamison Stricker; sisters, Lola Daniel, Glenda Bynum; sister-in-law, Carma Trisler; and brother-in-law, Douglas Henry and his wife Pam.
