Obituary for Robert Lee Dean Jr.
Robert Lee Dean, Jr. 69 of Van Buren passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in a local hospital. He was both coaching and teaching in Magazine Arkansas. He first taught at Stephens, Arkansas, then to Liberty Eylau in Texarkana, Texas, to James Bowie in Simms, Texas; Evadale, Texas; Kountze, Texas; Lumberton, Texas; Beaumont, Texas and also Booneville, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Dean and both parents Robert and Wanda (Edwards) Dean, Sr.
Graveside services will be 10AM, Saturday November 19, 2022 at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by his daughter Wendy Mulligan and her husband David of Van Buren; one granddaughter Harper Mulligan; a uncle Bill Vickery of Van Buren; a sister-in-law Toni Ingram and husband Ronnie of Texarkana; two nieces Amy Jones and husband Brian of Rogers and Jill Flanagan of Texarkana; four great nephews Jordan, Jaxon, Luke and Nate.
Family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, November 18, 2022 from 5-7PM at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Magazine Volleyball Program, 485 E Priddy St. Magazine, Arkansas, 72943 or First Baptist Van Buren Food Bank.
