Norma’s family moved to the Cavanaugh area of Fort Smith to make way for Fort Chaffee. Charles and Norma married while Charles was in the Air Force. In retirement Charles and Norma enjoyed trips to Ireland, Scotland, Vancouver, Savannah, Boston, New Hampshire and locations around Arkansas. As volunteers with the Red River Baptist Association Disaster Relief, they traveled to multiple disaster locations to serve meals.
