Johnie Rex Corbit, 87, of Muldrow, Ok left this earth on Monday March 27, 2023 in Muldrow. He was born May 15, 1935 in Roland, OK to Alonzo and Beulah (Eubanks) Corbit. He was an avid fisherman, loved being part owner of the Poor Boy Auction and listening to country music. He once told his granddaughter his greatest achievement in life was his family. Johnie was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pauline and Bernadine and three brothers Donald, Bill and Jim.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Barbara of the home; daughter and son in law, Robin and Ron Ruth of Roland, son, Larry Corbit of Muldrow and daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Jimmy Seeums of Muldrow; two sisters, Sue and Vinnie Mae; two brothers, Gerald and Gary; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 30, 2023 at Upper Camp Creek Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
The Family will visit with friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home 4500 Jenny Lind Road Fort Smith, AR.
Pallbearers will be Mark Eatmon, Chris and Clay Corbit, Derrick White, Chris Ruth and Kyle Seeums.
