John Porter Brown, 73, of Hackett, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 in a local hospital. He was born on August 6, 1949 in Fort Smith to Hoyt and Lois (Efurd) Brown. He was a former truck driver for Hickory Springs. John was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Annette Brown, a brother, Dennis Brown and a grandson, Logan Yoakum.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of the home; a son, Charlie Brown of Paragould, AR; two stepsons, Nick Yoakum and Lance Yoakum both of Muldrow, OK and numerous grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 2-4PM on Sunday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
