Jo Ann Morse, 83, of Dyer, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. She was retired supervisor at the Arkansas Department of Human Services and attended the Dyer and Kibler Methodist Churches. Jo Ann loved shopping, traveling with her friends and family, and perhaps most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid Razorback and Chiefs fan. Jo Ann was born on December 31, 1939 in Rudy, Arkansas, to the late Reverend Jewell Franklin and Rena (Brewer) Morrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Jewell and Rena, and brother, Jewell Morrison Jr.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 13, 2023 at Dyer Cemetery in Dyer, Arkansas. The family will visit with friends and from 2:00 till 4:00 PM Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home in Alma, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Paolo Canova, Sam Canova, Gabriela Canova, Dean Whitmire, Sloan Whitmire, Bobby Mason, Tony Canova, and Bryan Whitmire. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Hall, Mike Hatwig, and Dave Millé.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 62 years, Billy Gale Morse; son, Bryan Morse of Dyer, AR; daughters, Kimberly Canova and husband Tony of Fayetteville, AR, and Karla Whitmire and husband Bryan of Alma, AR; grandchildren, Paolo Canova, Sam Canova, Gabriella Canova, Dean Whitmire, Sloan Whitmire; and her loving dog, Squirrel.
