Obituary for Jimmy Ronald Tucker

Remembering Jimmy Ronald Tucker, and a life well lived. A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born February 14, 1934 in Paris, AR to John and Violet (Pearson) Tucker. Jimmy was the star halfback on the Paris High School football team until he joined the Navy and served our country in the Korean War, serving on the USS Yorktown. He was the owner and operator of JT Testing until his retirement.
His life revolved around his three sons and grandchildren. He was always the first to jump in and help and could fix anything (even if it took multiple trips to the hardware store to get it done!). He was an avid fisherman, camper and enjoyed long hours on his boat fishing for anything he could catch!
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Billy and Bobby Tucker, half-brother, John Tucker and his sister, Odessa Frye.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Pat; three sons, Ron Tucker (Susan) of Fort Smith, Mark Tucker (Sheila) of Bentonville and David Tucker (Michelle) of Navarre, FL; four grandchildren, Morgan Tucker, Aaron Tucker (Brynn), Allison Tucker and Colton Tucker; two step-grandchildren, Stacey Haid (Becca) and Jason Haid (Christen); two great-grandchildren, Isaac and Ellie Haid; sister-in-law, Carolyn Holzman; brother-in-law, Marvin Earl Cotton and multiple nieces and nephews.
A private family ceremony will be held at a later date at the U.S. National Cemetery.
