Beloved Mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend, Jill (J.C.) Lonetree, Nac’ ge’ Pi’, Good Heart, her Ho-Chunk Bear Clan name, Wiyaka Luta Win, Red Feather Woman, was born July 31, 1970 and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 24, 2023.
At an early age J.C accepted the Lord and received salvation and embraced this faith in her life. She was thankful to family and friends for encouraging and teaching her to grow in the Lord and His work and promises, Many times she shared that she was blessed and fortunate to grow up knowing that God, our creator, shows us the path to follow for eternal life.
J.C served as Miss Indian World for a year and Miss Indian Nations for two years. She felt honored to represent these titles. These titles afforded many opportunities to travel and meet people. She loved meeting people and formed friendships with people from U.S. and Canada. She attended conferences , spoke at schools and to youth organizations. She carried the message to obtain an education and that there is a good life without drugs or alcohol. She loved attending and was a fancy shawl and jingle dress dancer.
She attended Northeastern State University and earned a Bachelor degree for Business and a second degree for Mass Communications for Public Relations. She continued her education to earn a masters degree for Business. She was the first Native American woman to intern for the P.G.A. ( Professional Golf Association of America). She, also, interned at Haskell Indian Nations University. She worked at Ho-Chunk Nation and Disneyworld.
She opened her heart and home as a foster parent. J.C. was blessed with two children, her pride and joy –
Brayden Loe and Amaila Faith. The “three musketeers” enjoyed swimming, bowling, movie, taekwondo, disc golf and being outdoors enjoying God’s creation while being together. Her life was centered around her children,
They attended church at Crescent Valley Church in Tahlequah, OK,
J.C. loved the Lord, her family and friends. We are saddened by our loss but we rejoice that she has been made whole in her eternal home.
