Jesse Gene Hill, 87, of Van Buren Arkansas passed away on January 25, 2024 in Fort Smith. Jesse was born in Nashville, AR to the late Thomas and Terra (Hockaday) Hill. He was also preceded in death by his wife Charlene (Johnson) Hill; a sister Margaret Denton; a brother Bruce Hill. Jesse was a self- employed carpenter and a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood but was a long time member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Jesse is survived by his daughter Rebecca Miller and husband Sam of Fort Smith Arkansas; three sons Timothy Hill and wife Gayle of Texarkana, Texas, Terence Hill and wife Marla of Van Buren, Arkansas, Jeffrey Hill and wife Vanessa of Prosper, Texas, a step son Larry Denton and wife Lynette of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Sisters June Chandler of Fayetteville, Arkansas: Dorothy Young of Nashville, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Tuesday January, 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Ocker memorial chapel in Van Buren, 700 Jefferson St. The family will visit with relatives and friends Monday January, 29, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Grandchildren.
