Jerry Wayne Chance, 74, of Alma, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home on Monday May 1, 2023. Jerry worked as an auto mechanic at Sears for over 40 years. When he wasn’t working, he loved to fish. Jerry was born June 23, 1948 in Arizona to the late Collin and Mable (Coffey) Chance. He was preceded in death by his parents, Collin and Mable Chance; brother, Roger Chance; and great-granddaughter, Emberley Madison.

The family will visit with friends 1:00 PM, Friday May 5, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM May 5, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma with cremation to follow. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Rice, Christopher Tankersley, JC Wilson, Chance Hoover, Bradley Rice, and Jack Bull.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janet (Gibbs) Chance; daughters, Sherry Rice and husband Kevin, Tammy Tankersley and husband Chris; brothers, David Chance, Clayton Chance; grandchildren, Bradley Rice, Melanie Rice, Kaley Madison, Chance Hoover; great-grandchildren, Oaklee Smith, Karter Madison.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in honor of Jerry to Mercy Hospital Cancer Research.
