Obituary for Jennie Sue Hampton (Dobbs)
Jennie Sue Hampton, 81 of Van Buren passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Chapel Ridge Health & Rehab in Van Buren. She worked in the Van Buren School System and formerly at Harp’s in Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Hampton; her parents Orville and Annie (Ervin) Dobbs; one sister Ann Helton; one brother Bobby Dobbs.
She is survived by her son Robert Hampton and wife, Abbey of Van Buren; one granddaughter Lyla Sue Hampton; one sister, Laura Gordon of Corona, CA; one brother Steve Dobbs of Clarksville and granddaughter Larra Wiley; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, July 7, 2023 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Yoestown in Kibler under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren. Family visitation will be Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Jack Lowrimore, Jr, Rodney Shay, Doug Hicks, Mark Mackin, Joe Askins and Antwon Cooper.
