Obituary for James W Johns
James William Johns, 93 of Van Buren passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at a local hospital. He was a retired cook and was a deacon at various churches he was a member of. He was preceded in death by both parents; his brother Ralph, and his sisters Hazel, Mildred and Jeanne.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years Helen Rose Johns of the home; five daughters Dana Paliotta and her husband Joe of Broken Arrow, Rebecca Hanson of Fort Smith, Mary Wott of Louisville, Kentucky, Margaret Olson of North St. Paul, Minnesota and Jeanne Bostrom and her husband Doug of Hudson, Wisconsin; three sons John Johns and his wife Janene of Sedona, Arizona, David Johns and his wife Roberta of Layton, Utah and Steven Johns and his wife Karen of Forest Lake, Minnesota; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A family held memorial service will be 11AM, Saturday November 12, 2022 at Oak Cliff Baptist Church in Fort Smith. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
