James Darrell Chase, 81, of Mountainburg, Arkansas passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023 at his home. James was a retired machinist for Crane Company where he was also the union president. He attended Ozark View Chapel in the Turner Community and loved back roading and running with his dogs. James was born October 7, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Darrell Lee and Neva (Pride) Chase. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Neva Chase; sisters, Norma Jean Fields, Kay Lowrimore, Betty Ackley, Shirley Mitchell, and Neva Carol McGlaughlin.

Direct cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

James is survived by his wife of 45 years, Geraldine (Climer) Chase of the home; daughters, Cheryl Levi of Omak, WA, Charlene Chase of Springdale, AR, Deana Chase of Mountainburg, AR; sons, Darrell Chase of Rogers, AR, Doyle Lee McBurnett of Bella Vista, AR; sister, Sue Campbell; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
