Jackie Lee Bernard, Jr. 59 of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023 in his home. He was the property assessor for Crawford County, Arkansas, a past Deputy Sherriff of Crawford County for twelve years and was a member of “The Gold Country Band”. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Helen (Diaz) Bernard and a daughter Barbara Pirpich.

He is survived by one daughter Jessica Varner of Rock Island, Oklahoma;; one brother James Bernard and wife Raquel of Greenwood; his father Jackie Lee Bernard, Sr. of Cedarville.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. No formal service will be held at this time.
