Obituary for Helen Jo "Jo" Vail (Glatthaar)
Helen Josephine Glatthaar Vail, lovingly referred to as “Momma Jo,” passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, in Terri Haute, Indiana at the age of 96 years young. She was the only child of Otto C and Bessie Glatthaar of Guymon, Oklahoma.
She married Roy Vail in 1950 and they had one daughter Barbara born in 1954. She and Roy worked together in his CPA office until he retired in 1980. Their prayer ministry was priority as they prayed fervently for the nation, their church, First Assembly of God in Van Buren, and personal counseling.
Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Roy and is survived by her daughter Barbara Vail of Colorado Springs; two cousins in Paris, Illinois; Roy’s other sister and husband Shelia and Pete Prophit of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
On the day Roy died Jo felt she received this word to be engraved on their tombstone, “United Together with Christ Forever.”
Funeral services will be 10AM, Saturday August 5, 2023, at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
