Obituary for Hazel L Burris (Bartlett)
Hazel L. Burris, 92, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Fort Smith. She was born in Jerusalem, Arkansas to Irvin and Maggie (Howell) Bartlett. She was a homemaker and a member of Bluff Avenue Baptist Church. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert Burris, a granddaughter, Kara Jill Black, three sisters, Vivarey (Bobbie) Coffman, Genelda Osburn and Venoda Balloun and one brother, Dewayne Bartlett.
Services are 10:00AM, Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas; the family will visit with friends following the service. Burial is private.
She is survived by her daughter, Regina Mason (Bob) of Fort Smith; two sons, Damon Burris (Karen) of Hackett, AR and Delmon Burris (Diane) of Cedarville, AR; a sister, Patsy Pledger (Jackie) of Dover, AR; a brother, Paul Bartlett (Kathy)of Dardanelle, AR; a sister in law, Pat Coffman of Little Rock, AR; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kitties and Kanines Animal Shelter, 4300 Phoenix Ave. Fort Smith, AR 72903.
