Gary G. Weems, 79, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on April 13, 2023 in his home. Gary had many hobbies including, fishing and canoeing with his friends, Fred Abshere and Terry Willaimson and enjoyed spending hours at the gun range. He was a life long upholsterer working for Eads Brothers, retiring from Kay Chair. After retirement, he opened his own lawn service and upholstered for Ramond Harris in the evenings. He spent several years working for Arkansas Poly before he ultimately retired again to spend time building his cabin in the woods and spending time with his grandkids. He was born March 29, 1944 in Fayetteville, AR to the late Verlin and Pauline (Casteel) Weems. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Jania Rowland.

Memorial service will be 10:00, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at New Heights Baptist Church, 1003 Rudy Road, Alma, AR. Cremation is under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Lee (Dodd) Weems of the home; daughter, Michelle Sharp of Muldrow, OK; son, Mark Weems of Van Buren, AR; grandchildren, Kinlee Sharp and Mark Sharp and a sister, Verlene Tadlock.
