Ellis Edward Westbrooks, 75, of Alma, AR went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2022 in Houston, TX. Ellis was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Alma, Sons of the American Revolution, and was a Navy Veteran where he served in the Vietnam War as a Gunners mate onboard the USS Constellation. After leaving the Navy Ellis continued to serve his community as a police officer for the Chamblee Police Department in Chamblee, GA where he retired as a Sargent. Later, Ellis would once again return to serve his community this time as a Crawford County Sheriffs Deputy. He was born April 25, 1947 in Horton, AL to the late Elbert and Velma (Johnson) Westbrooks. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Ellis Westbrooks; brother, Homer Westbrooks; sister Charlotte (Westbrooks) Langford.

Funeral service will be 1:30 PM Monday September 12, 2022 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma with interment to follow at Alma City Cemetery. The family will visit with friends and family from 2:00 till 4:00 PM Sunday September 11, 2022 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Survivors include his wife of 19 ½ years, Tricia Westbrooks of the home; son, Robert Westbrooks and wife Beth of Auburn, GA; stepson, Scott Angel of Chamblee, GA; stepdaughter, Lisa Underwood of Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Katy and Logan Westbrooks, Gage and Riley Underwood; brother, Charles Westbrooks; numerous nieces and nephews; and two life long friends, Don Moore, Bruce Yenerall.
