Edgar “Ed” Jennings Motley, 73 of Van Buren passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023 in a local hospital. He was retired of thirty years from Santa Fe Railroad and was a member of Real Life Ministries in Greenwood. He was a Navy Veteran in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Betty Jo (Center) Motley and brother Bill Motley.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn J. Motley of the home; one daughter Jody Motley-Wagg of Van Buren; two sons Matthew Motley and wife Julie of Alma and Mark Motley and wife Heather of Greenwood; one sister Kathy Crutcher and husband Marty of Van Buren; one brother David Motley and wife Joyce of Denver, Colorado; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild.

A memorial service with military honors will be 11AM, Thursday May 18, 2023 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren.

Family will visit with relatives and friends Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home from 5-7PM, 700 Jefferson Street in Van Buren.
